Leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkins Disease and myeloma affect thousands of people every year. The title of this says it all. I can bet that everyone knows at least one person affected by these diseases.
I happen to know several; a friend, my sister’s cousin, another friend’s niece, and most recently my boss.
The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society has made it their mission to cure these diseases and imporve the quality of life for the patients and their families. But they can’t do it alone.
Their annual Light the Night Walk is a fundraiser and event is to honor and bring support to those affected. My sister and our friend have participated in the walk for the past three years and could really use some help reaching their goals.
